# Luxor Day Tour to Visit Dendara and Abydos Temples

**__Tour Overview__**
This day tour lasts approximately 10 hours and runs daily from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. **__Tour Description__**
At 7:00 am, an Emo Tours guide will pick you up from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor. You will be transferred by private A/C vehicle to Abydos, located north of Luxor. Here, you will visit the Temple of Seti I, also known as the Great Temple of Abydos, a major historical site dedicated to the god Osiris. The temple has an unusual L-shaped ground plan and was completed by Seti I’s son, Ramesses II.

Next, continue to the Temple of Dendera, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, associated with music, joy, dance, and motherhood. The temple is one of the best-preserved in Egypt, featuring a stunning entrance with six massive columns surmounted by the head of Hathor.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
